OneWorld Classrooms is a nonprofit organization based in Saratoga Springs, NY that involves K-12 classrooms and schools from around the world. Our mission is to foster cross-cultural understanding in the context of the
K-12 curriculum by building bridges
of learning between the classrooms
of the world through the arts and technology. We offer password-protected, curriculum-based FREE online travel and a variety of opportunities for K-12 classrooms to interact with overseas partners.
OneWorld Classrooms began in 1999 as the Creative Connections Project, which extended Arts in Education programming to include partnerships between New York and Amazon Rain Forest classrooms. Since then, it has expanded to involve over 4,000 classrooms from all around the world. In the summer of 2007, OneWorld Classrooms became a nonprofit organization. In our new capacity, we look forward to replicating our programs and broadening our educational impact as we continue to fulfill our primary mission: to build cross-cultural understanding and foster global citizenship.
