Music Exchange
Please save for your reference.
Follow the guidelines below to complete your OneWorld Classrooms Music Exchange.
1. OneWorld Classrooms staff will match you with a partner class/school in the world region of your choice and give you the contact information for a Partner Teacher or Project Liaison at your partner school.
2. Contact your partner teacher via E-mail prior to the exchange to determine exchange timing*, music themes, video length and curricular connections. *You may complete your exchange any time before May 1st, 2009, according to the arrangement you make with your partner teacher. Please make every effort to complete the exchange during the timeframe you arrange.

3. For each exchange, create a digital video featuring your students singing, dancing, playing musical instruments or performing. The video should be between 15 and 40 minutes long.
4. You/students may edit your video at your own discretion (adding titles, effects, etc.), though it is not necessary to do so. (Your partner may or may not have the means to edit.)
5. Review the video for appropriate content (for more on this, see our Terms of Use).
6. Copy
your digital video onto a CD and mail it to your partner teacher via regular first class mail. Include
a cover letter or note indicating the
teacher's name, grade level, school, city, state/province
and country and explaining the content.
If you would like OneWorld Classrooms to share your students' music on our Electronic Cultural Exchange Library, mail a second copy via regular mail to:

7. Upon receipt of the video from your partner, send your partner teacher an E-mail to confirm that you have received the video, to say 'thank you,' and to formerly conclude the exchange.
8. If you have any problems communicating via E-mail with your partner teacher -- or if the exchange is not proceeding in the timeframe agreed upon, please send an E-mail to robin@oneworldclassrooms.org.
